Growth In The Fire
It’s about 12:17 AM as I lay in my bed to write this. After a full day of cooking, baking, and lesson planning. Now, I have been on this journey of baking and cooking more often. In doing that comes more of what has always been in me. To grow in the place where I find peace.
While baking some bread this weekend, I was thinking about the science that occurs while baking. What we use and how we use it will specifically show how things can either expand or fall flat. The temperature of the oven also plays a part. It will produce a really beautiful item or an item where nothing happened at all. I recently made a dessert item for the first time and let's say it turned out okay. Not a 5-star, let me just say that but it was a moment for me to step back to learn and grow.
When looking at my life as a believer, there have been many moments of joy and sadness. Seeing the storm that I was living in I have either leaned to the side of defeat or the side of victory. In the process of growth, I am seeing that as you grow deeper with Jesus the intensity of the fire increases. This needs the right type of ingredients and knowing who our source is. Just as when it comes to baking not having the right ingredients can affect the outcome of your item and the temp of your oven. The same goes for your walk with Jesus. Are there other things that tap in and affect you to where the outcome is not good or vice versa? Be encouraged that the creator of the universe is there for you with his word. Giving you access with knowledge on how to walk this out.
