Strength

Life is full of many unique things that require us to question our own strength. We deal with difficulty in our workplace, relationships, family dynamics, friendships and even just our own selves. We all have the moments in our lives where we have felt weak and didn't know how to push through.

Recently, I was thinking back over the past few months on what has been happening in my life. When I say ya'll it has been hell, I mean that so much. Processing back through all the situations that have occurred, I realized that in the moment of weakness, the fruits of the spirit came alive. Just as what the scripture says:

2 Corinthians 12:9-11

9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

The aspect of strength that was something that I dwelled on often. Knowing that the confidence to express the weakness that I have dealt with or is dealing with and shifting my perspective to the one who created me. Allowed me to grow in strength and wisdom. Knowing that even in pain, strength can be found. The beauty of the surrender is freedom.

There might have been seasons in your own life where you felt weak. Feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders. I want to encourage you in these moments of your life. That the exchange and even the surrender of what you are going through will allow you to see the beauty even in your own life.

Take a moment and think about the areas in your life where you feel low and so much is happening. Take time to surrender those things to the feed of Jesus in exchange for Joy. It will start off being difficult, but if it becomes a daily thing, it will be easy in the surrender.
